Before wedding season is in full swing there is bridal shower season to tackle first. In the past few years I’ve had more than a couple showers/bachelorettes to plan and although it can get overwhelming I always have such an incredible time. I LOVE planning events. Especially smaller intimate gatherings with family and friends. My little sister got married this past year and I had the pleasure of throwing her a bright and summery bridal shower at my mom’s house in Michigan. I gathered a lot of inspiration from pinterest and set to work building around my theme of “love story”. I was so pleased with how everything turned out and even better, so was the bride!

Keep your eyes peeled for book page details and a secondary lemon theme throughout.

a love story

A love story.

coffee station

Coffee and donut station.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something brewed.

For the food and drink signage there was a little love quip that also explained the item. To stand them up I presented them stuck in a lemon.

ring donuts

Diamond ring donuts.

mimosa bar (2)

Bubbles bar.

Mama needs her mimosas.

Dessert station.

dessert (2)

Lemon champagne cupcakes with lavender buttercream.

Above the dessert station was a timeline of the bride and groom’s courtship.

parfait bar

Parfait Bar/Food table. Notice the book page table runner.

ham buns

Cooling the quiche and ham buns before adding them to the table.

groom quotes

Framed reasons why the groom loves the bride. I scattered them on a few table tops.

14 days til she’s a MRS.
